Our political system and ensuing analysis seem to be basically on circular reasoning that erases personhood— which is, I would argue, of the utmost importance in a democracy.
Rallies (theoretically) lead to votes.
Votes lead the winning candidate to a presidential environment that is not based on governance but popularity. Ultimately.
That popularity leads to rallies. Or, they’re the same, really— however, you’d like to look at it.
Obviously, this is a simplified version of the US political system, but…is it really? It seems the only other “major” thing I am missing lobbying (vs. facts, evidence, SCIENCE, you know)?
